Our Journey Continues

Things happen so fast!  We have hit our first goal of raising $8,000.  Currently we are working on getting things together to make our adoption profile. This is a very exciting and daunting part of the process. Wish us luck! I still have a couple of fundraisers going: Amazon Card Give-Away and Compelled Designs Necklaces. I am actually getting more necklaces in by Monday so check back soon to find the special necklace for you. I also have started a Pampered Chef fundraiser! This will be going on until March 5. You will find all your kitchen needs and support our adoption.

I have also signed up for AdoptTogether. This is a 501(c)3 organization set up to help adoptive parents raise funds for their adoption. Any donations/contributions made to this fund will be paid directly to our agency or attorney for adoption related expenses. The big bonus for you is that it is tax deductible as a charitable donation!

Lastly, I will be having an online auction to raise funds for our adoption expenses starting April 17th - April 24th. I am currently asking for donated items for the auction. So far, I have a wonderful set of items to be auctioned including a canvas painting, gift cards, jewelry, blanket, purse and more. I will be posting pictures and descriptions closer to the auction time.

Amazon Gift Card Giveaway

*UPDATE*  We have found a winner of the Amazon Gift Card Give-Away.  The winner has been contacted and has graciously donated the Gift Card to the McIntosh Family to be used for items that will be needed for a new baby!

Our first fundraising goal for our adoption expenses is the agency's fee of $8,000 in order to sign up with the agency and start getting matched with a baby/birthmother.  We are only $762 away from that goal.  In order to help raise the remaining funds to reach our goal, we have decided to do a give away.

We will be giving away a $50 Amazon gift card to one of our donors.  To make your donation for an entry, please go to PayPal.  You will need to click on the Send button at the top of the page. Enter my email address:  kelmcintosh@yahoo.com  and an amount, then click on send.  It will bring you to another screen, where you will need to pick: Friends or Family.  Once you make a donation by PayPal, please email me with your name and email address so I can contact you if you are the winner.

 You can also send a check, just email us for our address.  Please include your name, the amount of the check and when the check will be sent.  All checks must be received by February 27th in order to be considered for the give away drawing.

There are two ways to get an entry in the drawing.

1.  Make a donation.

     $5.00 = 1 entry

     $10.00 = 2 entries

     $20.00 = 5 entries

2.  Get one free entry by sharing with others.

Winner will be drawn 8:30 pm on February 29th.

***Note that we will require at least 10 donations before the drawing done.

Adoption Fundraising

         WOW! It has been a whirlwind of a month. I have finished up a few fundraisers (Tupperware, Origami Owl, and Bracelets from Haiti). I have started putting together an Online Auction that will be held in April. I have also received several generous donations. On top of that, we filed our taxes already and plan to put the refund towards the adoption expenses.

That being said, we are now only $762 away from our first goal of $8,000. These funds are needed to sign up with our chosen adoption agency and start getting matched with a baby/birthmother.

Along with starting some new fundraisers, I have revamped one of my original fundraisers: the Puzzle Piece Fundraiser. You can now sponsor an edge piece for $20.00 each, or an inner piece for $10.00 each.  You can sponsor one or multiple pieces and your name will be written on the back of the puzzle piece.
