Our Family is going through the process of a domestic adoption. Due to complications during the pregnancy and birth of our son, we are no longer able to have our own. However, we feel strongly that we can be a loving family for another child. Therefore, my family and I are starting the process to do a domestic adoption. We have handed in the paperwork to start the home study. This is the process in which you get approved by the state to adopt an infant or child. This usually takes a couple of months.
Once the home study is approved, we will be working with an adoption agency to be matched with a birthmother/baby.
There are many fees associated with adoption such as the home study fees, agency fees, legal fees, and possible birthmother expenses for the pregnancy. We are doing fundraisers in an effort to pay for some of these fees.
